Jesus called some fishermen to become fishermen of men. How do the words that Jesus uses in their call inform us about what Jesus plans to do with us? How can we be instruments in God's hands? We discuss in this week's sermon.

God made humans in his own image, but sin mars and deforms that image. But the call to follow Jesus is a call to let Him reshape us and restore that image. It's not always comfortable, but it's a journey worth taking.

We start off a new series looking at the calling of the first four disciples. We reflect on the simple words, "Follow me," and what they tell us about the calling to be Jesus's disciple.

Because water is essential to life, places where people could get water, like wells, were essential places for relationships and interactions. We look at two different women at two different wells in Scripture and the interactions which follow. In doing so, we get a chance to see how our relationship with Jesus affects our relationship with others.

In several accounts in Scripture, God highlights the dual nature of water to both destroy and save. We explore these accounts and what they mean for our life in Christ.

We close out this series on spiritual disciplines by discussing the practice of solitude, intentional time alone to process, prepare, and pray.
