Empathy not sympathy
The inability to put oneself in the shoes of others and have a compassionate understanding of their suffering is not unique to white people, but it looks way worse on us, especially with how obvious and long standing is this blatantly, hateful negligence. Empathy is empowering. Black people do not need sympathy, they need an apology of substantial change, and reparations are a large part of that equation.

More reviews of Reparations: The Big Payback
I came here wanting to learn more about reparations, but couldn’t make it through the second episode. The hosts are weirdly hateful towards white people and I don’t understand how that solves anything. Trying to do my leg work as a non POC and this isn’t the place to get it.
