“I’ve been bingeing van life videos these past few weeks and Eamon and Bec are easily my top favorite. They appear so likeable in the videos, fun loving, down to earth, etc. I can’t totally put my finger on why though but this podcast sort of turned me off to them. I found all the talk of how entrepreneurs will “live like no one else would to get what everyone else dreams of” and the talk of how Bec “would definitely have crushed” the corporate ladder to be a little self-important and just maybe a bit too self-confident. Self confidence is by no means a bad thing but it just seemed a little over the top here and not super relatable, which I feel is the point of YouTube at least: to be able to watch people who you see yourself in in some way doing amazing things. Maybe the podcast setting is just different, but I’ll probably be sticking to their YouTube channel.”
