Eg: the Elon Musk podcast got a lot of things wrong, and I only listened to 10 minutes of it.
The expert was no expert other than reading an Ashlee Vance biography which we all have.
Zip2 was not a company trying to bring newspapers to the internet. It was a city guide, a sort of yellow pages on to the internet.
Should have explored the PayPal/X.com merger and internal dispute more. They came out of that super rich and enough capital to disrupt Silicon Valley and were known as the “PayPal Mafia”. I wonder if this person has an idea about the dynamics of Silicon Valley during that time. Sure, Musk was known, and had cash to burn.
Very borderline / suspect journalism. Bring in proper people who can give different points of view at least. Some people who dislike him or see him as awkward and really poor media likability but some people who do see him as clever and well adapted to the media in terms of all his clever marketing strategies from launching the car in space, or the flamethrower which generated cash for his company. Seriously poor in terms of bringing a balanced, nuanced dialogue. Do better...I’m rooting for you.”
