Every episode presents an issue or group of issues in an informative and thought provoking way. Roger gives “normal person” explanations. I just listened to ep 103 on risks around retirement, and the issues raised were gut-wrenching and real. Linda and Roger teased out issues that are just never otherwise addressed. 50 or so financial podcasts I routinely listen to, Financial Answer Man is clearly the best. Beats out independently produced peers, Planet Money, and similar high-quality podcasts. No politics, sales pitches, attitude or Cramer-esque hyperbole.
