The Best Retro Gaming Podcast Out There
What I love about Retro Gaming RoundUp is that the three hosts actually know what they're talking about. They grew up with games in the late 70s and early 80s, but are still actively part of the retro gaming scene. I love that they cover games before the NES, unlike a lot of other so-called retro gaming podcasts, and UK Mike brings a great perspective from across the pond. They also cover games on classic computers (c64, Apple 2), which is refreshing. The segments are as entertaining as they are useful - I usually feel like I've learned something after listening (especially the hardware flashback segment). The interplay between the hosts in their top 10 is always hilarious. Finally, the production values are as good as I've heard in any podcast - great musical interludes between segments, classic game ads break up the show, and there's always a balanced volume. These guys picked up where Retrogaming Radio left off and ran with it. They are - without question - the new kings of retro and classic gaming podcasts. If you like games from the 80s, it's absolutely worth subscribing.

The show is almost phallic in having good length and width, as it weighs in at around six to seven hours each month, and covers a wide variety of retro topics. There's even a live news slot with...Read full review »

These guys are my kind of nerds: super into their hobby, but funny and unpretentious. Sometimes obnoxious, but not too offensive. You'll definitely roll your eyes every once in awhile, but I imagine that that's the point. Super long, so be prepared to listen in chunks. A good time and worth the...Read full review »
