“I’ve been listening to Retronauts for about 15 years. I just realized today I haven’t even listened to a single episode in 3 months. Let me list the reasons why:
1. The regular hosts (Jeremy and Bob) are almost never even on the cast anymore. Instead they’re replaced by random people I’ve never heard of.
2. All of the best episodes seem to be behind paywalls, including episodes in continuing series (Lucasarts adventures, looks back at decades) that used to be free. I don’t have a problem with getting paid for your work, but I think putting your only good stuff behind a paywall is a little scummy.
3. Most of the new random “hosts” don’t even seem to know anything about the games they’re talking about. Why would you even bother hosting a podcast about something you’re completely ignorant about?
I have more problems but those are the main three. It’s just a shame to see what used to be my favorite podcast become a shell of its former self and something I have no interest in listening to.”
