Mindset and Awareness
Critics of this show seem to complain about 2 things: 1) Frequent interrupting of the guests, 2) Lack of useful information. Though it’s not my job (I’m just your average listener), I would like to address these two complaints in my review. 1) Are the guests interrupted often? Yes. Is there a valid reason? Yes. It is my impression that this podcast is actually a recording of a radio broadcast. In order to help the listeners that are tuning in, Mr. Kiyosaki interrupts regularly by announcing to whom the audience is listening. Some may argue that announcements in the beginning and end would be sufficient, but this is not true for the radio audience that misses these key times. The interruptions are inconvenient but understandable given this context. 2)Is the information useful? Naturally, the answer to this is subjective. If you want a step-by-step set of instructions (as if those existed), this show and many of Mr. Kiyosaki’s books are not for you. This show and his books are mostly about context and mindset. Essentially, Robert and Kim Kiyosaki are perpetually learning and share their learning with us by bringing on guest experts. These experts are often authors of books Robert and Kim have recently read. So how do you make this information useful? For me, I borrow or buy the books/audiobooks when the subject captures my interest. How useful this show is to you is determined by how far you’re willing to go down the rabbit hole. Robert and Kim Kiyosaki admit this show is for public relations. They run a business. Of course, they would love for us to purchase their books or their educational products. We as conscious consumers must be aware of that. Go as far as you want with this.
