“Regular listener and love the podcast—helps me keep up with everything even though I’m in Ohio. I think you guys have a great handle on content and are balancing basketball talk and tangents pretty well. You both are always very insightful and are great at answering all of the eclectic questions your listeners ask.
One piece of constructive criticism: the last few episodes, I’ve had trouble understanding what you’re saying because at least one of you isn’t speaking directly into the mic. I’m assuming you’re using mono-directional mics, as opposed to omni-directional ones, so you have to stay right on them. Especially in the most recent podcast, Joe was almost unintelligible at times. I’m not sure exactly what your set-up is, but that might be something to consider. It would probably help with the mumbling comments. A helpful tip for Casey in particular: when you mumble, you’re speaking on your vocal fry which doesn’t carry very well, even when you’re very close to a mic. Try staying in your fuller voice more often to eliminate that issue because we want to hear what you have to say!”
