Fun, but not much substance
They’re fun, but I really haven’t found a lot of substance in this podcast. It’s pretty strongly self-helpy, and you wear out quickly on that because it’s pretty self-consumed. I also feel like it’s marriage tips for the upper class. A lot of the suggestions for date night and things like that just aren’t realistic for people of a lower income that might struggle to afford a babysitter, much less dates out. I couldn’t relate to it much. I feel like it’s a podcast that’s good for mostly good marriages, where both people are motivated to make the marriage the best it can be. It’s not very relevant to really struggling marriages where the couple isn’t in that place.

I’ve never heard of Rachel Hollis or her husband or her company OR her podcast. I came across this on my way home and now I’m her biggest fan! Yep, after one episode. So there is that. I hope you enjoy this as much as I did & I’m definitely looking forward to more episodes.

I’m new to the Hollis “tribe” but I’m all in! Loved this intro and can’t wait for what’s ahead! The authenticity is gold!
