Enjoyed their books but disappointed in the podcast
I really enjoyed reading both Nate Silver’s two books and Maria’s three books. I was excited to start listening to the podcast but have found the hosts’ biases painful to listen to. I will try to listen again after the election. I think both Maria and Nate provide an excellent example of people who understand bias and probability extremely well, yet let their biases (Nate - moderately, Maria - severely) impact their thinking. As a political independent I was hoping to find a mostly balanced podcast to listen to. Maria’s deranged rant about Trump on the con-men podcast caused me to lose my faith in her. Nate, for the most part, can critique Trump’s faults (of which there are many) fairly. Nate’s fivethirtyeight website is a great resource. I would highly recommend checking it out.

More reviews of Risky Business with Nate Silver and Maria Konnikova
No thanks. I’d rather be subjected to Chinese water torture than listen to that jamoke.

I love their discussions but there or four minutes of ads three or four times in an episode is excessive.
