“The hosts are basically hate-watching the show at this point, and are angry about what it has become.
Their criticisms are valid and well supported. I just can’t say that their overall take resonates with me because I’m still largely on board with the schlock of Bizarro Riverdale, so it becomes a dead horse if you don’t share their frustration.
(I could have used this type of podcast before I gave up on Walking Dead. I was holding on for too long in denial as Scott Gimple was destroying everything that was good about that show. I could have used the eloquent, analytical commiseration.)
AfterBuzz usually provides Entertainment Weekly level, slightly fan service-y podcasts. This podcast gives more of the hard-hitting, slightly snobby analysis I usually expect from Bold Move.
It’s well done; just know what you’re getting, because it’s not typical for AfterBuzz.”
