June Northcroft Grant is a descendant of Makareti Papakura, also known as Guide Maggie famous for taking royalty on guided tours at Whakarewarewa village in Rotorua during the early twentieth century. June is inspired by Makareti's story every day, she collects her postcards and says Makareti was well ahead of her time.
