“I eagerly await each new episode every week. I feel like I know these guys. Since I found this podcast, I’ve done some “back-listening” to their takes on movies I saw before I found them. I’ve had a bit of a history with Mark before I found this pod. When I set up my movie reviewing website, my first choice for a title was Mark Reviews Movies. I found it was already taken, so I went with something similar. So when I discovered this podcast, I was like “Oh! That’s the guy who ‘stole’ my website name!” A nit-pick that’s been on my mind for a little while: at the beginning of every episode, Brett says how they want it to be the only movie review destination you’ll ever need. That’s always come across as a bit arrogant. I review movies online, too, but I don’t need to be the only game in town. You’re welcome to look around, get some second and third opinions, etc. The buffet is open, and you can get more than one thing on your plate. That being said, they are one of my top priority choices, before I surf around for some point-counterpoint. Overall, though, this is an enjoyable informative podcast, and they get a strong 4/5 from me.”

“As someone who grew up in the Chicago suburbs during the era of At The Movies, this show fully slakes the thirst I have for a comprehensive weekly movie review program. That the hosts are also Illinois boys only further fuels the nostalgia feeling.”
