Roger Waters interview
A really fab episode with James interview with Roger Waters. Before the episode James warned the listener on a number of comments Roger made and also built up the episode basically inferring that Roger was wrong on a number of issues. I was expecting Waters to be really negative and opinionated but having listened to it I thought that he came across really well. He admitted where his knowledge and information could be wrong and would be willing to accept that. He came across as a really intelligent and well read person who’s knowledge was well researched remembering dates and people. His bottom line being Human Rights. I have to say James goaded him a few times and was in my humble opinion trying to stir Waters into aggression. I don’t think he succeeded. However what really came across on this episode was that both James and Roger were well versed and knowledgable on all subjects (many controversial) that they discussed making this a wonderful episode. It’s a pity the warnings before the interview were quite damming on Waters and unfounded. Great podcast and so very very interesting. By the way I’m not defending either side of the many arguments within this episode. It has certainly made me go and find more about the issues discussed and get my own facts together. More of a debate than interview. I’d have loved a bit more about the show and the music.
