The best way to experience the book
I have tried several times to start this book but was intimidated by the multitude of unfamiliar names, locations, and characters. Mr Zhu’s combination of maps, graph of relationships between the main characters, and narration make this a true joy to read. This will, I’m sure, become the most popularly consumed version of the book for any english speaker. A tour de force by a lover of the material that is engaging and enlightening.

A well-written and well-told translation of an epic I’d only heard about before. Highly recommended.

Finally, an interesting and accessible interpretation of one of history's classics. Just as the creator says in his intro, if you haven't grown up with these characters, the novel can seem like a bunch of indistinguishable names and battles. Be confused no more. Enjoy!Read full review »
