“Recently, my boyfriend (who is Chinese) and I started watching the Three Kingdoms tv show, but the show assumes a lot. My boyfriend has no problem because he grew up with the characters, saw the old TV show in China, and even played a 3 kingdoms video game! I’ve taken Chinese history classes and listened to the lovely China History Podcast, but I’m not on his level of familiarity with this novel. When I found this podcast I was delighted. Now things make a lot more sense while watching the TV show and I think John Zhu does a wonderful job making these episodes. I was even able to tell my boyfriend a few things he didn’t know. Thanks John! Looking forward to more great episodes!”
