Trip down memory lane
What a great podcast. As an avid listener of Random Encounter, it's great to see that these guys' love for RPGs extend far beyond game play, and into the fairly niche avenue of RPG music. Listening to this podcast brought back some fantastic memories of tunes I hadn't heard in a long, long time. They break it down and discuss its merits, and the emotions it evokes and what made it revolutionary at the time. Every song can't be "I Just Died in Your Arms Tonight"/Phantasy Star song name I can't remember, but if you think about it, the amount of time and energy that has to go into composing these songs must have been tremendous. To give credit to these composers who made these memorable songs is only just. The kicker for me was the review of the Wild Arms song which was an absolute blast from the past. Made me feel like I was 15 all over again. Not only that, you do get to learn about other music in games you may not necessarily have played, and it's quite fascinating. While I loved the DQVIII over world song, I had no idea that it was changed out in the NA version to an orchestrated one. Thanks guys, keep up the awesome work.
