Who dunnit?
This is extremely detailed and well researched. The woman at the centre of it had hardly started her life when she was convicted, falsely, it would seem, of her husband’s ex wife’s murder. The narrator places us thoughtfully back in the 80s and 90s at a time when women’s rights in the workplace were tenuous at best, particularly in male dominated fields such as policing. In Bambi’s case, this would prove to be her undoing. There are no winners, as the real killer has never been unmasked. The judicial system showed itself to be weak and open to manipulation. The collateral damage of her conviction was immense. :(. If you could place this crime 40 years later, you would hope for a different outcome.

An interesting story but told entirely from the POV of those closest to Laurie.
