Description
Dairy farms around Nelson Marlborough are being forced to dump milk and find alternative ways to get their mobs milked as the region grapples with the recent flooding devastation.  At least 70 farms in the area were inaccessible by Fonterra tankers on Wednesday, due to closed roads from slips and flooding damage, creating havoc right in the middle of the calving season.  Fonterra's Regional Head for Canterbury, Tasman and Marlborough, Charles Fergusson said Fonterra was unable to access 40 farms in the Collingwood area alone with, the main road out of the Takaka factory closed to heavy vehicles.  See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
