As a lover of classical history, I picked up this podcast out of curiosity, as Russian History seemed like a gaping hole in my knowledge between the West and the Far East. I think this podcast has helped me get an inkling of what makes Russia so... Russian. Initially I had expected to drop the podcast once Mark had passed Catherine the Great, but I was never even tempted to do so. And I certainly never expected to be so fascinated by Kruschev. Now I wait eagerly for each new episode to be delivered.

Worth listening to, especially since this is pretty much the only Russian history podcast on iTunes. Episodes can be quite interesting, much like the History of Rome podcast by Mike Duncan, but a little lacking in the punctuality. Found this while looking for history podcasts which iTunes seems to hide. Fools. A great perspective on Russian history across the ages, easy to listen to but fills in loads of details. Recommended listening.
