Rylan is amazing - thoughtful, wise, warm and funny. I adore him! That said I hope the series evolves to challenge some of the guests’ - and society’s - stereotypical views of masculinity. There’s still a lot of the paternalistic “provide, protect” narrative and many of the men are so deeply embedded in patriarchal structures they remain so heavily influenced. I was hoping for a far broader range of ideas and experiences around masculinity.
