“I really like Franz’s sailing podcasts. He’s like an absent friend to me although I have never met nor spoken with him. He chats away in a familiar avuncular style, avoiding the ‘ums’ ‘ers’ and “awesomes’ of other sailing podcasters. Has a nice take on life as he is a proper craftsman, one who likes to have at least one project on the go. What I would give to have his nice life where I could take a couple of months off each summer to explore the Med. Hats off to him as well for building his own boat. By far the best sailing podcast that I’ve come across, but I wish he’d realise this and widen his horizons from the Eastern Med and tell us about other things. Franz, if you ever make it through the french canals and end up in the English Channel I’d be honoured to meet up and buy you dinner.”
