“This is my second year listening to St Faustina’s Diary of Divine Mercy. The readings from Father Joe are about 10 minutes long with a brief commentary. The Diary consists of messages received by St Faustina from Jesus. Highlights include the institution of the Feast of Divine Mercy; the chaplet of Divine Mercy; the importance of confession and the Eucharist. The Diary was written in the 1930’s (approx.) before Vatican II and presents a conservative and traditional view of Roman Catholicism. I have been profoundly touched by the Diary and received many graces. Obviously the Diary can be purchased and there are many helpful books about Divine Mercy (e.g. Handbook of Devotion to Divine Mercy). I had heard of the Divine Mercy many years ago but lost touch with the Devotion, but due to the Pandemic I managed to come into contact with the Marian Fathers in Stockbridge and watched Father Chris Alar on YouTube and managed to reconnect with the Divine Mercy (30 odd years later).”
