“For Jesus Christ I am prepared to suffer still more.” - Saint Maximilian Kolbe
Today we will hear the incredible true story of Saint Maximilian Kolbe. He was born with the name Raymond and from a young age, trusted that Our Lady would guide him. And that She did. From entering the Franciscans, to beginning a newspaper and founding a monastery in Japan, Maximilian was nothing short of courageous throughout his entire life. You don’t want to miss this moving episode that reminds us all of the truth that Saint Maximilian lived out: Love sets us free.
Parental Guidance Note: Saint Maximilian died a martyr and was killed by lethal injection at the Aushuwitz concentration camp. Although the vast majority of our episode takes place before he was captured, we wanted to stay true to the story of his martyrdom and tried to emphasize his bravery and peace amidst the evil within Auschwitz.
