I thought it was a parody
Of Gimlet’s previous fiction podcast, Homecoming, which I somewhat liked. Or more accurately, the GE Podcast Theater productions The Message and LifeAfter, which I liked more. Because there is no other way to explain the premise that a handful of rural Oklahomans could somehow outperform Amazon/Google/any other home A.I. But why would they parody their own format?

More reviews of Sandra
There’s more story in the ads than in the actual podcast, and they take up what feels like at least half of each episode. Wanted to love it but disappointed.

The story is interesting, but the voices aren't as convincing as Homecoming - this one feels a whole lot less natural sounding. Just listening for the story.Read full review »
