Just a note
I listen to this every week, and as an improv nerd, I really enjoy it! But I had to make a note about the most recent episode and the discussion of Kanye West. I am not a huge Kanya West fan at all. I find him obnoxous most of the time. However, I had to say that I think "New Slaves" was misinterpretted. That song is actually about privatized prisons where inmates (most of whom are black and didn't commit violent crimes) are forced to work for corporations doing labor for about $0.25 an hour. And if they refused, they are placed in solitary. It's essentially modern slavery that no one talks about. So as much as I dislike West, I appreciate that he is discussing the topic in that song, and I was a little bothered by the negative reaction to it. That's pretty off topic, but I wanted to comment on that. Over all, though, I love the show, especailly the connections you tie between it and improv. I attend classes at UCB in NYC, so all the references and such about improv make me very happy. Keep up the good work next season!

I absolutely agree... I have no idea why Jay Pharoah is still on the show. I don't think his impression of Obama is that great. I would rather Fred Armisen step back in. Not sure why they made the switch. His Jay Z was good but I don't know if it would have been as good if Maya Rudolph wasn't...Read full review »

They're in the business, so you're able to get a different look at how to watch SNL's stuff. The main guy, Danny, gets it, and gets fun people on the show.
