Description
Former Socceroos defender Andy Bernal joins Lucy Zelic and Nick Stoll to discuss how he went from a boy playing a host of sports in Canberra to being the first Aussie in La Liga. Andy tells us stories of escaping military police in Spain, moving to England and working with Brian Clough, coming back to Australia and being an NSL star with Sydney Olympic while working as a council ranger trying to catch dogs. After his playing career, Andy tells us how he became David Beckham's manager when he moved to Real Madrid, what it was like to be around the Galacticos and how he became caught up in an international media scandal.  Andy also shares his advice for Tom Rogic, who he also works with, about what to do at Celtic. A fascinating discussion about a fascinating person.
