Listen if you want to hear constant victim blaming with no plot
I recognize and appreciate that a tragedy occurred in this a story. However, the hosts engaged in some pretty shocking victim blaming in a situation that clearly involved domestic violence. They repeatedly characterized Ashley as crazy, and emphasized how she was a home-wrecker, possessive, etc. Of course there are multiple sides to every story, but it seems like they over-emphasized painting Ashley as unhinged and really downplayed his role (including violence, threats, and abusive behavior). The podcast may not have been about their relationship, but I am disappointed that the hosts didn’t take even a second to acknowledge the pattern of domestic violence here. As a female-hosted podcast, I would expect a bit more consideration for the significant impact that violence against women has in our country and how that intersects with this story.

Couldn’t get through the story. The two girls were so annoying and try hard. Just tell the story, you don’t need to crack a joke after every sentence.

As others are pointing out, this wasn't even a real scam; it was just incompetence. Come on--you can do better than this if you really are going to make this podcast about scams. Contrary to what others are saying, the "banter" is not so bad. Just focus on real scams, and give up the...Read full review »
