“The one story about Ashley and Doug and the ballet company is interesting BUT not a scam as much as a marriage fail turned deadly.
Also, as has been said, the back and forth between the hosts feels forced and scripted. I listen to a lot of podcasts so that dynamic between hosts can make or break a podcast bc there’s only so much you can put up with as a listener to stay engaged with the story. Other podcasts that do this dynamic well are “Sounds like a cult” and “Maintenance Phase.” You can tell in these other pod casts that the hosts like each other a lot, have important things to say, and are well read so it’s not scripted (they are talking about things they have a lot of background in so that’s the key). I think if these hosts focus on legit scams (ones that haven’t been covered multiple times already) and that they have a natural interest/knowledge in, this podcast has a lot of potential. The main host has a nice voice and is a good storyteller.”
