niche, but driving through american mythos is strangely peaceful
honestly, i love americana mythos. this podcast is a great example of playing with it - there’s just enough magical realism that it isn’t overwhelming. certain figures that popup make me laugh, but it works well within this america. the narrator’s voice is also wonderful, just sounds like a grandpa or uncle, telling you a story. has a warmth to it, and his descriptions are just poetic enough to paint the visuals without getting overly dreamy. i
