“It seems to me show itself is a metaphor, beautifully written. The narrator constantly recollecting times “before the collapse,” and looking back on past mistakes with a self-deprecating sense of wisdom. It takes us back in time yet through time twisting Americana Folk-lore to tell new stories, forcing us to look at our mistakes as a nation, and their possible outcomes. All of this out of the passenger seat of “Old Stars” the narrator’s truck. Compelling and creative, a must listen while on a road trip!”
