“… Michael Shermer’s hosting is frequently unbearable. A podcast host should let their guests talk and present their ideas, and then discuss these ideas. Instead, Shermer frequently talks for minutes on end, reads long excerpts from his books, tells the same anecdotes over and over again in subsequent episodes, goes on unrelated tangents, makes statements instead of posing questions, and in general does not have a clear plan for how to structure episodes. In addition, the technical quality is often very poor (host and guest speaking over each other due to audio delays, poor audio in general, no editing whatsoever) and he keeps pumping out too many episodes. And all of these isdues have gotten worse over time. All in all, a disappointment!”
