The perfect dose of home away from home and ideas to add to my Scottish bucket list
I’ve been listening to Scotland Outdoors for several years now and it’s been a wonderful window into all things Scottish and Outdoors - two of my favourite topics! I’ve just recently moved to the UAE for a few years and it’s a godsend when it’s 45 degrees here and too hot (yes there really is such a thing) to really enjoy the outdoors other than very early or very late in the day. I often listen while driving or walking and am instantly taken home with the accents, the vivid descriptions of the surroundings and of course the excellent banter of the Euan, Helen and Mark as well as all the guests. I absolutely love the soundscapes and hearing about the local businesses and destinations in industries I’ve no experience of and areas that I’ve not (yet) visited - please keep them all coming! It was my Dad who introduced me to the show and as I was often on the hills on a Saturday I rarely listened live so the podcast is still my preferred way to listen and now that I’m all the way over here it’s great to catch up with the best bits of the show with my Dad when we chat too! Please keep up this really interesting, often fascinating as well as eye opening programme, it’s a fantastic showcase for Scotland for both those at home and abroad. It’s something you should be very proud of. Thankyou and all the best Martine.

The friendliness and intimacy is so engaging. It helps me look for and see the unique beauty of my own...Read full review »

Simply a beautiful insight into the magestic areas around Scotland. Beautifully paced and never boring. Charming presenters that are humbly passionate about Scotland outdoors. Likley to appeal to many.

Very pleasant podcast. Sometimes a dissenting voice would be nice. Example being the extended episode on the Garrogie Estate. Getting the opinions of the owner of a 30,000 acre estate(and his 4 game keepers), is interesting, but their ideas are going to be very narrow.
