Snakes alive!
Listen now
Description
Meet Amber, an American cornsnake. She's not venomous, but she does eat two mice a week, and has her very own hot water bottle to keep her warm when traveling! The children of Rhu Primary School get up close and personal with this wriggling reptile, and have many questions for her handler, Aileen Bradley of Glasgow Science Centre. Also in the programme: * Animal Activity: a rapid fire, animal impersonations challenge! * 'Finding Spring', a story about nature and the signs of springtime. Written by Janis Mackay and read by Angela Darcy. * A seasonal round of Yes/No Popcorn. Stand up, or hands up, or even just raise your eyebrows if your answer is YES, and the opposite if it's a NO. Get ready for a workout! Presented by Donald Pirie.
