Interesting but pointless
The chance of someone listening to this podcast getting their script made into the next Hollywood blockbuster are slim or next to none. They even admit it themselves on the podcast. Unless you are established, like John and Craig, then you have no chance. All this is is their excuse to sound important to hopeless writers who are still clinching onto that pathetic dream. listening to them tear apart the 3 page scripts sent in is hilarious tho. Judging them as if they are professionals and not the amatures that they are. You might aswell release a podcast on How to win the Lottery!! Everyone wants to do it but then again, only a few do. By the way Can I remind you that Craig Mazan wrote the awful Superhero Movie and the very bad Hangover 2. Basically he got paid to change every scene in Hangover 1 from Vegas to Thialand. Anyone could have done that!! I cant wait to see where Hangover 1 will be remade for the third movie!! And John August gets paid to turn already existing books into Hacky films for Tim Burton to distroy. These are the people giving you advice. If you are fine with that then continue listening. Like winning the Lottery all you need is luck and to be in the right place at the right time to get a script developed.

Craig and John are a great source of entertainment. They both bring a wealth of knowledge to the table and serve it up with frank, often funny, banter. Though I came to the podcast as a fan of John's website, Craig brings me back each week with his perfect blend of humanism and cynicism.Read full review »

Hard to evaluate on just one podcast, but nicely balanced between John and Craig. Target audience is working writers. Hope this has legs!
