Like listening to an unemployed professor discussing musings with a pile of bricks.
If you like listening to people read Wikipedia pages while espousing their own uninformed perspectives on topics, sure, you’ll probably enjoy this show. I was interested in the subject matter, but as the episode teetered on I found myself less and less interested in the hosts attempts at bringing a new perspective to the topic. It’s easy to say people from antiquity are problematic… that’s obvious. What I don’t understand is the lack of awareness to world events and the political climate happening around these historical figures during their life. It doesn’t even feel like these two find any of these topics remotely interesting and were just trying to think of a podcast concept that hasn’t been done yet. Unfortunately, the concept is still waiting for proper execution.

I want to like this podcast but I can’t understand half of what they are saying. They talk over each other and she laughs so much I miss half of what they are saying. It’s annoying. Not to mention she seems to not know anything. It’s like telling history to a toddler.

Unfortunately as with most multiple host podcasts it completely lacks focus due to the “friends having a conversation over drinks” energy. Easily distracted and full of mediocre dime a dozen...Read full review »
