Easily the best DnD podcast
I have a lot of time to listen to podcasts and audiobooks and was looking to scratch this DnD itch I’ve had. Tried Adventure Zone after a friend recommended it to me, but I just couldn’t get into it. I’m so glad I found Second Best. Stephen Buckley is a fantastic Dungeon Master, and it’s hilarious the grief the players give him all the time. I definitely fell in love with Bug the paladin first. He’s just such an impossibly lovable character. I’m still somewhat convinced that Hue is secretly her twin brother, though I have almost zero evidence to support this. Gail is flawless and just keeps getting more interesting as time goes on. Yolanda is a goof who takes nothing seriously except her 1000% wholesome relationship with Bug. Also, mad props on the music which I routinely get stuck in my head. I especially liked the transition music when Hue is in Cordoth.

I love this podcast so much, as a fellow dnd player who frequently gets into “shenanigans “it’s refreshing to hear about another lighthearted group with the freedom that you all have. Great Dm, and a fantastic role play and commitment. I love Gail so much😭😭😭
