Serve it Cold
Oh My God! That was my first thought after listening to the first 4 minutes. It has to be the best podiobook that I have heard. It puts me in mind of an upbeat urban “Fried Green Tomatoes”. Obviously, a lot of work went into creating this podiobook. The characters (ranging from the nosey neighbor—more comical than Gladys Kravitz from “Bewitched”— to the main character who displays all the attributes of a laid back southern) are well developed, relatable, and many are identifiable in my neighborhood. The sound effects are realistic and the narration is excellent. Also, I love how the author begins each chapter with a gossipy phone conversation that recaps the preceding chapter. It is ingenious and hilarious! I listened nonstop from beginning to end. Accolades to Mr. Blackwell for a job well done.

This podcast is so good that I and my husband listen to over and over again. Every few months he asks me to download it again because it's so well done. Great cast, excellent voices and great story.

Well written, great characters, interesting story, could be a movie! End happened too fast. What happens next. Wish it wasn't so rushed but kept me happy listening for hours!
