Settling the Score--and my mood!
Settling the Score has become my favorite quarantine-time podcast, helping me through many an uneasy day or evening. After spending big chunks of time looking at screens for work, Zoom calls, or entertainment, when I want something that is dynamic and diverse, has something to teach me in a gentle way and with humor, and lets me listen to some of the greatest and most beloved music of the past century, I fire up an episode of Settling the Score! Jon and Andy take me through some of the greatest scores of all time with wit and a deep understanding of how they were put together. As they share the histories of the scores and their composers, they also note how they elevate or provide counterpoint to those films. If you love film music, I trust you will dig this podcast, and there is something for everyone to enjoy.

Love the show! I was wondering what you make of the score for Birdman by Antonio Sanchez? As a layperson, I found it to be incredibly innovative, but I’d be interested in a critical analysis, if you are up for it. Descriptio
