“I think for most non musicians it’s easy to forget that the music to a movie can really make or break it. What’s great about this podcast is finding out why! Why does the music for this movie or this scene work; why doesn’t work here? John and Andy do a great job of keeping even those who may not know that much about music in general engaged and present their opinions in fun and easy to understand ways.
As a musician myself I found their critiques informative and thought provoking. Perhaps the best part of the podcast for me is remembering many of these films I have not seen in many years and thinking about them from a different perspective. I sincerely hope that even after they finish the AFI list they’ll continue the podcast to review other movies they find intriguing or unique.”
