Great insights.
I love this podcast and the revelation of Apple’s book about this series. I love the character analysis. I am enjoying the length of the episodes. The only thing I wonder about is how many times they mention the horrors of working under “capitalism,” and how capitalism tries to brainwash people into thinking they are doing something important for the world. All jobs do this to some extent, under all systems. Especially in dictatorships such as Nazi Germany, Soviet Russia, North Korea, and China. Try reading Chairman Mao’s little red book. I have a copy. It’s all jargon about doing important work. These workers are enriching oligarchs, just like crony capitalism. This show really reminds me of soviet slogans as well as the issues we all face at work all over the world. My other issue is that some work is very important. Remember the first responders and health care workers in the pandemic?

More reviews of We Know Severance
After forgetting most of the details from the original watch, I wanted to catch up before S2. Great insight from these three! Got hooked from the Dark rewatch version of the podcast originally.

I love the content and think the hosts do a great job. One star off simply because the editing can be really rough, skipping from the middle of one sentence to the next. The Episode 7 recap was the toughest for this. Otherwise, fun and thorough breakdowns and theory exploration.

The hosts are super smart (two have neuroscience backgrounds, the third is an entertainment journalist) and do a fantastic job analyzing...Read full review »
