No insight
There is virtually no insight given here into the killer or the victim as people. The gruesome details are hammered home, but basic personal information is glossed over. I listened to all these episodes and still have no idea when or why this person changed their name. at one point, she sends a photo to someone because she wants them to see her baby, and yet I didn’t hear anything about her ever having a baby. I appreciate the play-by-play courtroom reporting but that’s pretty much the only value this podcast has.

There was too much focus on the perpetrator. They act like she wasn’t a monster and her family kept giving excuses over and over and the podcast kept emphasizing that. The final episode made me absolutely disgusted because of how many people stated this did not make her a bad person.
