“If you are a tennis player looking to improve your game (and you’re reading this review), you’ve probably heard of Essential Tennis. If you haven’t, you should check it out—its coaches provide instruction that is both engaging and accessible to players who have a passion for improving their skills. The coaches from ET have created this new podcast, which focuses less on instruction and more on peripheral issues in the game. It’s a fun dialogue between knowledgeable coaches on interesting topics. And it’s especially engaging for those who have come to know (at least superficially) the ET coaches through their instructional videos. It’s not like other podcasts from tennis journalists or fans that focus almost exclusively on the pro game. So if that’s what you seek, you should probably look elsewhere. But if you are interested in tennis more broadly, and you think you might enjoy listening to topical discussions from the perspective of coaches who work mostly with recreational players, you should give it a listen.”
