A mature age draft Kane was known for his versatility, playing primarily as a midfielder and forward. Lambert made his debut in 2014 and became a key player for Richmond, contributing to their successful campaigns, including the 2017, 2019, and 2020 premierships. His playing style was characterised by strong ball-handling skills, quick decision-making, and a high work rate, making him an integral part of the team's structure. Lambert was also recognised for his leadership qualities on and off the field. He announced his retirement at the end of the 2022 season, leaving behind a legacy as a valuable contributor to Richmond's success during his career.
