Description
25 years ago the music industry was in a crisis. Every year for 16 years the music as a businesses was losing more and more money. Until one day a company called Spotify came around and changed that forever. The invention of music streaming built a bridge between artists and fan the likes of which we had never seen, and in 2024 the music industry is the biggest it's ever been.
We sat down with Sulinna Ong, The Head of Editorial at Spotify, to learn exactly how this happened. She explained how her team discovers new artists, curates Spotify's editorial playlists, and responds to Artist's pitches.
This was our first guest episode and we could not be more excited about it 3
My apologies for the delay in upload of the audio version of this episode! I had some technical difficulties with the hard drive that had this episode saved on to it, but I ordered a new chord and we are back up and running!
Thank you so much for watching 3
