Great show, fresh production style
What immediately jumps out at me listening to this (I started with episode 19) is how different the production is from any other art interview show I've ever heard. I feel like most interview podcasts are structured more like Fresh Air or Charlie Rose, and my favorites tend to be ones where the host is insightful and the show feels more like a conversation than an interview. Here, though, the hosts intercut the interview with explanations and reactions that give it a more documentary feel, somewhat in the vein of This American Life or Radiolab. It strikes such a great balance, maintaining the intimacy of an interview show with the energy and editorial strength of a documentary show. This latest episode with Stacy Kranitz was possibly the most fascinating artist interview I've ever heard, so I'm very interested both to dig into the back catalog and see where the show goes in the future.
