“I LOVE sheer luxe and consume every bit of their content but even as a middle class white woman I find their lack of diversity in both content and staff seriously off putting. Only hearing one (very posh and privileged) voice is boring and you’re alienating a whole tribe of would-be die-hard sheeluxe fans.
Although it’s obvious from the emails, instagram and website that their target audience are white women, from all the pictures they use, the podcast is when it truly dawned on me how exclusive the brand really is and I couldn’t continue listening.
If you want to truly grow the brand and business, podcast, online subs and YouTube channel, you need more people representative of the world we live in. It’s not hard! London is the most diverse place in the uk and there are 1000s of talented BAME women desperate for a job in fashion, lifestyle beauty etc. Please take this seriously as I adore sheer luxe and don’t want you becoming outdated in 3-5 years.
Make sheerluxe more inclusive and it will pay off in spades!”
