“This podcast and your books are literally life changing. There is not a lot out there for children/family members of covert narcissists, so I am so thankful for all the information you are putting out there. It is so validating to hear you put into words my whole life experience. You have given me words for things I have felt, but could never find the words for. You have helped me understand why it is so hard to explain my experiences to people who haven’t experienced this type of abuse. Something that was key for me to understand was how you emphasize that narcissistic parents/people thrive on keeping people in a state of confusion. All these years I have been giving the benefit of the doubt, thinking the problem was me, and making excuse for my NM, when really the reason things weren’t adding up and didn’t make sense was because they were lies. It’s funny how we can see these qualities in people that are not in our inner circle, but struggle to see reality in our parents. I am so grateful for the peace and validation that your work has given me. I’m sorry that you had to go through all that you have experienced, however I’m so thankful for how you have given so many of us a voice because of what you have been through. Your work matters.
