“I’m a massive Sherlock Holmes fan, I know the original stories back to front. Whilst this podcast obviously doesn’t have the same Victorian atmosphere it’s still brilliant and has buckets of atmosphere all of its own. I didn’t love the new tv adaptations but these are much much better. Updated enough that I feel hooked wondering what will happen but with lots of clever references that make old timers feel like they are in on a joke. I love the music - strings are always important to any SH, I love Watson’s rambling, I love Archie (please don’t kill him off just to test a theory Sherlock!), and love love love Mariana, Mrs Hudson was always a badass. It’s so good, I love listening to them.

Also I would like to add as I have seen it mentioned in other reviews that they find the “fake podcast pretending to be real annoying” - all I have to say to this is that Conan Doyle did the exact same thing. He was pretending Watson was real and writing in the strand about a real man. It’s the perfect update to that.”
